Eradication of child labour(Badike Podamu) Programme
As per the orders of the District Collector, E.G.Dt, Kakinada an action plan has been prepared in the convergence meeting held on 1.8.04 in the office of the Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, East Godavari, Kakinada. 2 squads one for Kakinada urban and one for the Rajahmundry urban formed with the representatives of Education, Police, Revenue and Labour Departments the squads have started from 2.8.04. So far 278 cases of child labour have booked. The open labour courts are conducted on 10.8.04 at Rajahmundry and 11.8.04 at Kakinada.
More over, we have observed some sensation in among the people, with the previous experience we are thinking of conducting such rates on the places where children are working at least 2 to 3 days in a month. Out main motto is to inculcate the idea among the people that "Pillalu Undavalasindi Panilo Kadu Badilo"
Nov 1st to 14th
- Identified out of school children.
- Campaign against child labour system.
- A special vehicle is provided to identifies OSC Children in the field.
- A special squad constituted with Police, Revenue, Labour department and Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.
- A special campaign conducted all over district with scheme Education Habitation committee, Panchayat Education committee in this programme identification of OSC free habitations,
- 14th November being Children's day Honor the meritorious students with medals.
Child labour special drive in Jaggampeta
- Special Squad Works From 13 to 17 at September 2004.
- Squads consist of SSA Education, Labour, Police and Revenue Departments.
- Squad identified 55 Out of School Children all are "Palerulu". They are sent to RBC at Rajapudi.
- 25 Child Labour Cases booked against employers.
- Child Labour Special., Court will conduct on 25th of September at MPDO office, Jaggampeta.
SSA Exhibition at Godavri Antya Pushkaralu
- Godavri Antyapushkaralu organized from 16th to 27th of August 04.
- SSA organized on exhibition on TLM and eradication of child labour system.
- Every day nearly 5,000 people visit the stall.
- The Collector and Chairman, Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, East Godavari, Kakinada has visited the stall and appreciated it.
- Special Drive for Child Labour conducted in this Utsav.
- 102 Out of School children are identified and sent to RBCs and regular schools.
