It was found that 12% of school students are irregular owing to ill-health.
Tribal mostly suffer from 5 most prevalent diseases: Malaria, Diarrhea, Jaundice, Typhoid and Skin diseases .
As the habitations are mostly remote, access to medical help is beyond reach
Therefore, medicine is prepared from locally available herbs. This also needs to be revived in today’s times of over dependence on modern medicine.

27 plants have been identified for the cure of these 5 ailments. These plants are locally available in most habitations.
70 girl health volunteers to be deputed at Ashram School / Hostels on a pay of Rs. 1000.
619 CHWs are working at Tribal Predominant Habitations.
Local resource persons with knowledge on indigenous medicinal system have been identified.
A medicine hall, clinic and resource training center being established at Rampachodavaram.
